Intensive Moscow's Attacks Cut Power In Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
The country's power facilities have come under increased attacks in recent weeks

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused power cuts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were hurt while residents in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and faced interruptions to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.

At the same time, a minor was fatally injured in a separate aerial attack in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, according to local officials.

Russian forces has intensified strikes on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while officials has requested "concrete actions" from international partners to increase pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not window dressing but firm measures - from the US, Europe and the major economies - in providing air defence systems and enforcing penalties," mentioned in a social media post.

He said that 450 drones and over thirty projectiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were striving to repair systems.

A series of attacks hit power facilities and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the strikes on the city have been transported for medical care, per statements from city authorities.

Area administrators said the urban area endured heavy assaults throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child was killed and three other people were wounded.

The strikes come after evenings of aerial attacks in the region, parts of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to spot.

National leaders told journalists that Russia was intentionally trying to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already disrupting energy systems.

Officials stated energy workers and officials were preparing for additional strikes.
